ArtsSmarts Program
The Prince Edward Island Council of the Arts is a Participating Partner in bringing the ArtsSmarts program to Prince Edward Island.
ArtsSmarts is the largest education initiative in Canada dedicated to improving the lives and learning capacity of Canadian children by injecting arts into their academic programs.
Investing in growth since 1998, ArtsSmarts initiatives have reached more than 180,000 young people in over 1,050 schools across Canada. With multi-million dollar funding from The J. W. McConnell Family Foundation, ArtsSmarts provides seed capital to a wide range of locally initiated arts and education ventures, allowing them to grow and build the momentum they need to attract sustainable funding.
Working with the Crafts Council of Prince Edward Island, the Council will liasse with the Arts community to bring art to Island students.
